Shame is Built in to the System
Shame is Built in to the System
How Shame creates compliance, but never transformation.
Shame isn’t a personal flaw or a feeling to be managed.
It’s a structural tool.
It’s how families, institutions, workplaces, and even healing spaces maintain compliance without force. Shame works quickly. It collapses resistance. It keeps people small.
But it never creates real change.
In this clip, I name what shame actually does to the nervous system and why so much “self-work” fails when this layer isn’t addressed.
